It has become a tradition in my family to visit the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida to see the ICE! Exhibit as well as the acrobat and light shows. We love the festive atmosphere as well as the variety of restaurants available at this resort. The 2016 exhibit is over but the atrium view rooms where you can see the shows start to book up several months in advance. This year's theme was "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and was one of my favorite so far and I wanted to share my photos.
Here is one of the artists who comes over from Harbin which is in northern China to make the many ice sculptures for ICE! I think their work is truly an amazing! Not only must they have a lot of talent but working in such cold conditions must be quite difficult.
I am not were to nearly sad when I don't get mail ;)
Besides Charlie Brown I think Snoopy is one of my favorite Peanuts characters:
Here is Charlie Brown sitting above the large slide that kids and adults took turns using. I manage to stay warm enough for about 15 minutes but not long enough to use the slide. It is only 9° Fahrenheit in the exhibit.
I definitely plan to visit the ICE! exhibit in 2017. I hope you all have holiday season. Happy new year to all!
